SNEAK PEEK INTO THE PROJECT

Founded in 2008, Royal Challengers Bangalore aka RCB, is one of the most popular franchise cricket teams in the Indian Premier League. The team intended to capitalize on its prominent brand value by foraying into various lifestyle categories. The project was commissioned to JUMPINGGOOSE® to develop a brand identity design and brand storytelling narrative for the brand's consumer-facing lifestyle avatar, and document it within a strategic business pitch deck for future expansion.

THE APPROACH

The team held several idea jamming sessions with the leadership team at RCB. Our team researched, designed and developed a unique sports brand identity system, visual branding and language system for RCB's fashion & lifestyle expansion and articulated it within the pitch brand book. The idea was to sync brand's iconic #playbold lingo with the RCB's new category avatars. Powerful imagery of RCB's poster athletes like Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers was used to strengthen the brand identity and visual branding, evolve the brand's anthem, align the brand with the golden circle theory, define the tone of voice, shape category looks, and establish the brand's way forward.
